After meeting the guys at the home show we made an appointment for an estimate. After our appointment with Vern to go over the Reno and then having him do an estimate we were very pleased and decided to go ahead with them. The installer who carried out the project was prompt and on time and completed the job very well and on time. We were so happy with our bathroom renovation we are now having them do our basement renovation

"I own a 3 bedroom bungalow built in 1979. After having bathrooms renovated by Advantage in 2014, I asked them back to replace basement stairs and build a laundry room (2015). The biggest project completed by them in 2016 was the remainder of the main floor; removal of the wall between kitchen and living room, new cupboards, painting, electrical, new fireplace and brick work. "I'll start by saying that our bathroom had been renovated probably 10ish years earlier so what we had wasn't dated or visibly rundown that means that our impression of the finished job wasn't one of blind Wow because of such a vast asthetic improvement. Our need to replace the tub and surround were purely out of need to correct issues from poorly done DIY by the previous owner as well as a repair to our 56 year old bathroom ceiling.

 

I was thoroughly impressed with Advantage right from the beginning. My first reaction when I met Vern at the Home Show was 'trustworthy' - it was just a gut feeling and I'm glad I went with my gut. The in-home estimate was thorough and he provided an option we hadn't considered in repairing our bathroom ceiling which we are pleased with that we decided to go with.

 

In the end he found a way to get us actual subway tile within our budget and it turned out awesome. I couldn't say better things about the crew that worked in our home for three days. It was honestly a pleasure. The installers did a great job. They were polite, diligent about their work, on time, and CLEAN!

 

They came through the door carrying a carpet protector and every day the project area was neatly packed away and swept up, so refreshing to encounter!

 

I also appreciate that they recognized that our narrow bathroom would actually benefit from not having the curved shower rod that we had initially planned for instead recommending a straight rod, and they let me be the judge of what height it was placed at - which means there were no little disappointments when the project was complete (communication and insight are a beautiful thing).

 

They showed up when they said they would, they communicated clearly with us, and they finished the job on time. An honorable mention also goes to their language as I'm used to some pretty colorful language slips with repair people but they were conscientious about my 4 and 6 yr olds little ears (who by the way fell in love with the guys and cried when they left).

 

The finished product was a beautiful new acrylic tub with subway tile right to the ceiling, a perfectly smooth ceiling replacing our previously blistering and flaking one and a flooring fix with perfectly matched grout. Amazing. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

 

You were totally true to the slogan on your promotional material. The last 3% matter as much as the first 97 - Thank you."

"Advantage Construction handled my basement renovation after our basement flooded. It was an incredibly stressful time and Advantage Construction really made things easy for me. They were very prompt in replying to my inquiries and got the job done a lot quicker than most other construction companies in the area. They also charged a vary fair price, they could have taken advantage of me and charged a lot more considering the circumstances but they didn't which i really respect. I was very happy with how knowledgeable they were and the quality of the work that they performed.
